Every winter wedding in New Jersey comes along with the risk of snow, and this March we certainly had our fair share of large snow storms. Based on Ryan & Leighann’s engagement session at Skylands Botanical Gardens in Ringwood last year and how calm they were with the ridiculous amount of bugs we ran into I no matter what the weather their day was going to be fun! As the wedding at The Westwood grew closer on the calendar we were pleasantly surprised by a forecast of sunshine, and blue skies! The 2+ feet of snow we had on the ground melted the week before leaving minimal traces at Mindowaskin Park where we planned to take all their photographs prior to the ceremony. The details of the day were perfect from start to finish for this end of winter wedding. The bridesmaids wore long slate blue dresses and had the most beautiful baby’s breath bouquets, while the groomsmen had navy suits with a pop of color in their patriotic stars and stripes socks!

Leighann & Ryan met for their first look in front of the bridge at the park, and I melted when I saw Ryan’s reaction to seeing her for the first time in her dress! It was so great to be there and to photograph a such sweet moment for a good friend. From there, we took all the bridal party and family photographs and headed to the venue to await their ceremony. Leighann looked stunning walking down the aisle in her lace gown!  When they entered the reception for the first time as Mr. & Mrs. the celebration kicked off, and the dance floor was packed for the rest of the night!

Congratulations again you two, I am so happy I was able to photograph these special moments for you!!
