There’s just something extra meaningful about photographing a newborn in the space they were carefully welcomed into. And baby Olivia’s in-home session? It was a beautiful example of just how much love—and intention—can live inside four walls.
From the moment I stepped into her nursery, I could tell: every corner had been thoughtfully designed. From the adorable furniture with bow-shaped drawer pulls to the soft, calming paint tones, this wasn’t just a baby’s room—it was a labor of love. Every photo on the wall was chosen with purpose, every detail felt like an extension of her family’s heart.
One of the most special parts of this session for me personally? I know Olivia’s mom and dad from photographing weddings—and getting to see them step into this brand new role as parents was such a joy!
Olivia’s mom, Jen, is no stranger to a good DIY project, and the way she poured her creativity and care into this space was such a sweet reflection of how much Olivia is already cherished. It wasn’t just pretty—it felt like her. Cozy. Soft. Inviting. Full of story.
We spent time capturing all the quiet in-between moments: Olivia curled up in dad’s arms, snuggled into mom’s shoulder, and the joy on their faces as they took in this new season together. And of course, we had to include Lily—the furry big sister—who made a few appearances of her own and melted all our hearts.
Sessions like this are my favorite kind of slow. No rush, no pressure—just home. A new little life, a beautifully made room, and two parents (and a pup!) whose love shined through in every frame.
Welcome home, Olivia. You are so deeply loved already.
