Upon arrival at Monmouth University it was quiet, the day after the graduation, and I was already in awe of the spectacular building in front of me, Wilson hall. Built in 1929 the building now has over 100 rooms, and 50 varieties of Italian Marble. The photographer in me had to pick my jaw up off the floor and I could not stop admiring every detail around me! This colossal building earned the nickname of the Summer White House after Woodrow Wilson stayed there during his campaign the summer of 1916 and is currently used as a building on campus. Elizabeth is an alumnus of Monmouth University so this building and campus hold special memories. She had great stories about the building and areas of campus nearby including how she met Chris…I loved hearing it all!!

After touring the building on campus for more formal engagement pictures Chris & Elizabeth did a quick wardrobe change, and brought me to a great spot on the beach. I have known Elizabeth since high school, and it was so wonderful to see how Chris made her light up! Even when we were trying to take a serious photo their giggles had me cracking up behind the camera. We worried all day as the gloomy clouds inched closer, but they provided for for an unexpectedly beautiful beach landscape to end our day!
