Engagement Sessions

With those three things you've got all the ingredients for a great engagement session! This is something I include in every wedding collection so we get to know each other, and you can learn how I photograph. Learning how to pose with each other makes the wedding day stress free during portrait time!

The next step is to start thinking about where you want your session. I love it when couples have a special place in mind that means something to them, but I am here to help you find a great spot if you need!

Relax!

Never have that awkward "What do I do with my hands?" thought again. I teach you everything you need to know about posing!

"... And just wait until you sneak a peek at Bradley and Sara's incredible hilltop portraits. Now THAT is a gorgeous perspective."

Turnaround time from session to photograph delivery takes 4 weeks. A great tip is to count back on the calendar from when you want to send out Save the Date's and plan it then! Or another great idea if you have a longer engagement is to pick your favorite season and plan your session around that time of year.

This is a HUGE tip that I think people ignore. If you have a garden spot in mind, don't wear high heels that sink into the grass! If you're not the type to wear a dress shirt and tie, then don't! Be comfortable in whatever you decide for your session. I even have couples bring one casual and one more formal outfit to get a good variety of photographs!

A local park, garden or beach can be the perfect spot for your engagement session. Want to have your session at one of the big New York Sports stadiums?! I'm all in and right behind you, but keep in mind the location you choose may have restrictions on when you can photograph, and extra permit fees, so it's best to check ahead!

All engagement sessions are scheduled in the evenings before sunset with the best lighting in mind. If you are late and it's getting dark the session will get cut short. If you are planning on a night session for a special reason then we plan accordingly for when the sun goes down.

Coordinating is key! Patterns or solid colors, and accessories are all a safe to wear at your engagement session. These special touches make the session your own! Let me know if you have any special ideas or photos you want ahead of time and we can work that into the session.

Don't know where to put your hands? Do you feel awkward and hide when someone pulls out their cell phone for a picture? DO NOT WORRY! This is supposed to be a fun and relaxing hour with your fiance! I will teach you everything you need to know about posing to look and feel great!

Have fun!
