This session was just precious, a darling newborn just days old and a sweet big sister!

When I arrived at their house and began to set up, Abigail was just barely asleep and cuddled into her bouncy chair. Most sessions start with a wrapped pose until the newborn can fall into a deep sleep, but Abigail had other ideas. She was wide awake and wanted to sneak out of all my wraps just to play with her hands so we let her have her fun until she fell asleep! We did not get to capture some of the more complicated baby poses because she was not in that deep sleep but I still waited patiently to capture some of the sleepy newborn poses mom and dad had hoped for, and even caught a little sleeping half smile after she was in the basket!

In the middle of her session Abigail’s big sister woke from her nap to a new person in the house. While she was still waking up she quietly ate her snack and was excited to see the camera! Big sister Olivia, had a special light pink rosette “princess” dress that matched perfectly to the wrap that I had planned for Abigail from an inspiration photo mom found online. When it was time for them both to be together for a photo Olivia radiated excitement and was so proud to have her baby sister next to her which made for a perfect portrait!!
