With the NY Yankees clinching a playoff berth last week I thought it would be perfect timing to share Melissa & Earl’s wedding on the blog! After meeting Melissa we got to talking about a design for her Save the Date’s that she wanted to look like replica baseball tickets with their favorite teams, the Yankees and Phillies. That was my first glimpse into how spectacular this July 4th wedding was going to be! Since the colors of both teams combine as red, white, and blue they fit right in with the holiday weekend spent celebrating their wedding at Martell’s Water’s Edge looking over the bay.

After a short afternoon rain shower the skies cleared in time for a gorgeous ceremony over the water surrounded by blue skies and a wedding party of complimenting red and blue dresses and ties. Melissa’s bouquet was the most unique and amazing I have seen yet. It was a round baseball made of carnations….truly awesome!! Despite an accident down the road that knocked out the power at the venue and nearby neighborhoods for almost an hour the guests did not hesitate to enjoy the party when it came back on! The views from the panoramic windows at Water’s Edge were perfect for watching the numerous firework displays over the water as the festivities continued inside. I was even able to catch a glimpse one of the displays in the background of the cake cutting! There was no shortage of energy that night and I was so honored to photograph their special day!!! Congratulations again to Melissa & Earl, I wish you many years of love and happiness!!
