The Rainbow Hello!

Right before stay at home orders went out due to the Corona Virus, Emma along with her family and friends celebrated her first birthday! This “Lucky One” themed birthday party did not disappoint with an amazing setup of photos, desserts, and fun for the kids too. Upon entering Casa Bianca in Oak Ridge, party goers were greeted with a sign that in short asked for everyone to greet others with a “Rainbow Hello” wave instead of the normal hugs. This was the best practice to keep the germs at bay and still enjoy the day! It was such a sweet way to say it and fit right in with the party theme…I have not stopped using it since!!

Rainbow Baby

I had the honor to photograph Emma from a newborn, baptism portraits, her first Christmas, and first birthday portraits over this last year!! Getting to know her mom to be over the last year to be an awesome crafter and planner I knew Emma’s birthday party was going to be awesome! Emma is a rainbow baby, arriving after a long road of IVF treatments. Those of you that know of someone who has gone through this process know how long and trying it can be. So Emma is not only immensely loved by all her family and friends, but her first birthday party was a HUGE milestone to celebrate too!!

The kids danced, and played alongside the musical kids entertainment by Jam Cats!! I loved getting to watch the kids dance and get into the music! Although I had to miss the end of the party, I had Jessah, associate shooting for me and she was amazing at capturing all the details and the best view during the singing of Happy Birthday. I think sometimes the best photographs are when you turn around to capture all the guests singing and photographing too! (THANKS JESSAH!!)
